The heating stage is designed for microscopic observations of small objects 1 mm x 1mm x 2 mm:
- It can be used in combination with various types of microscopes: optical, FTIR, Raman.
- Low inertia is the main advantage of this designe. The average cooling rate from
1500C to 900C is about 500 grad/s
- The mesurements may be done in the controlled oxygen fugacity or in vacuum.

- Melt inclusion studies
- Spectroscopy of melts and glasses at high temperatures
- Surface physics and chemistry of minerals
