"The Prosodic Syntax of German" is an ongoing project at the department of linguistics at Goethe-University Frankfurt.

The overall aim of the project is to determine the extent to which prosodic conditions influence sentence construction. We harness data from speech production experiments and studies of spontaneous speech corpora to model the interplay of syntax and phonology in grammar and in natural language processing.

For more information on the project, see the project abstract.

The project is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Work began in November 2015 and is slated to continue for three years from that date.
