information retrieval in bibliographic databases, Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC), digital libraries, metadata standards, personal information management.

Service offers

Beside my work at the university, I take on ecological expertises and plannings as a self-employed biologist (see Bureau for Geo-Ecological and Biological Studies - BGBS). I cover the fields of phytosociological mapping, landscape planning and impact regulation/compensation planning.

In the course of my scientific occupations, I have put together a bibliographic database of scientific literature on botany, plant ecology and plant geography (incl. some neighbouring fields), which now contains some 25.000 citations. I intend to make this source of information available for all who are interested - but for an online version of this database of scientific literature I could not find the right technical solution yet (... maybe later; until then, I invite you to send me your requests via e-mail).
