Here you can see some of my woodturnings. I prefer the use of green, local grown timber. I do not design the appearence of my woodwork beforehand. As a rule wood is nearly never free of "errors". It is my aim to make my woodwork last for a livetime or even longer. So I take care that these "errors" do not reduce the mechanical stability of my woodart. Sometimes it is helpful that "design follows function". So in many cases the resulting form is inherent in the trunk of wood I mount on my lathe. Very often these "errors" induce further carving of the turned workpiece.
I planned to make a very large "new" lathe to be able to turn very large objects. This projet cannot be transformed into reallity anymore. The large lathe is for sale.
Below you see some pictures of my work. Just click on the images for an enlarged few of the workpieces.
