TO INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS (IPR) INFO SHEETS FROM
THE INSTITUTE FOR AGRICULTURE AND TRADE POLICY
The recent expansion of international trade agreements to include intellectual property rights threatens the sustainability of local ecosystems, the rights of indigenous peoples, the ability of nations to provide food security, and protection of the global environment. We are particularly concerned about how the privatization of knowledge threatens biodiversity. To address this concern, the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy has initiated the Intellectual Property and Biodiversity Project (IB/BP).
As a public education component of this project we have developed several IPR Info Sheets. Listed below are the Info Sheets currently available. These Info Sheets are available on-line, and can be retrieved by sending a simple email message to: <info sheet name>@igc.apc.org. No subject is required in the subject line, no message in the body of the email.
For example, to retrieve this document, which serves as the index to the other IPR Info Sheets, send email to: ipr-info@igc.apc.org. You will automatically receive this document in your email box. To receive any of the other IPR Info Sheets listed below, send email to the Info Sheet name provided.
